About us

Our work focuses on behaviour, husbandry and welfare of farm, companion and laboratory animals.

We investigate influences of housing conditions, management and the human-animal relationship on animals' health and well-being. Our work contributes to the scientific knowledge on animal welfare and thus helps to enhance animal welfare by informing best practice. We also seek to establish a better understanding of animal welfare in the public.
