Banquet Hall of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna

The anniversary year is an occasion to introduce a new symposium series for innovative educational principles. The symposium named “Teaching Vets #1” is planned as a start-up event and will be held once every year in the years that follow. In terms of content the Symposium is devoted to recent developments in University-based education. Innovative and quality-assured teaching is rated very high at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. Since the winter semester of 2014/2015, students of the Diploma Programme in Veterinary Medicine are educated and trained in accordance with a modified curriculum based on a problem-solution-oriented and student-centred approach.
