Research
I am interested in behavioral ecology, including sexual selection, chemical communication, immunocompetence, and parasite-manipulation of host behavior. I have mostly worked with house mice (Mus musculus domesticus), though I have also studied stickleback fish (Gasterosteus aculeatus). More recently, I have been working with zebrafish (Danio rerio), both domesticated and wild, to explore their suitability as a model organism for behavioral research.
- Sexual selection
- Ecological immunity
- Life-history evolution
- Chemosensory communication
- Host-parasite interactions
