Two hotspots for Comparative Medicine

The Messerli Research-Unit „Comparative Medicine“ shall be understood as a strong bridge between veterinary and human medicine. Accordingliy the team is working at two locations:

1.) the laboratory of Comparative Medicine of the Messerli Research Institute located at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and

2.) the laboratory of Comparative Immunology and Oncology at the Institute of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research at the Center for Pathophysiology, Infectiology and Immunology of the Medical University of Vienna.

The activities at these two locations contribute to a constant dialogue between these two medical divisions.

At both laboratories 44 scientists are dealing with the different scientific questions of the Comparative Medicine. See Organigramm. [Link 1]
