We have implemented a ticketing system in VetEasy to send support inquiries to the Platform. Supervisors are kindly requested to submit tickets on behalf of students without access to Veteasy.

You will receive an automatic email as soon as your inquiry has been assigned to a member of the Platform who will then also contact you with regards to your inquiry.

We look forward to working with you!

I. Send a support inquiry via the VetEasy ticketing system

Clients are expected to provide the following information:

  • a brief description of the underlying project
  • a clear definition of the biological question and hypotheses

II. Design meeting

The purpose of the design meeting is to decide on the following points:

  • Experimental design
  • Sample/data requirements, technologies/platforms
  • Preliminary specification of the support required from the Platform
  • Timeframe

The client will summarize the outcome of the design meeting and share it with the Platform.

III. Cost estimate

Based on the estimated work, the Platform will then provide a cost estimate for agreed upon analyses.
An hourly rate of 37 Euros applies. The first 80 hours per institute and year are charged at 50% reduced rate.

The Platform will further classify the project in one of three categories:

a) feasible, no concerns
b) some minor concerns regarding feasibility
c) major concerns that the project can be successful as outlined

IV. Project Proposal

In collaboration with the Platform, the client formulates a project proposal based on the design meeting. The proposal has to include a detailed description of the analysis to be performed and expected deliverables & milestones (Technical Annex).

V. Support decision

The client then sends the signed project proposal including the cost estimate to the Vice Rector for Research, who will decide about eligibility of support for the project.

Acknowledgement

Support provided by the Platform (complimentary or paid) has to be acknowledged by the clients in all associated publications.

Any scientific contribution (peer reviewed paper, project reports, talks, posters, thesis, etc) in which a member of the platform is mentioned needs approval by the corresponding member before publication.
