Resident at the institute is the chair of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Gottfried Brem, the chair of Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology in Veterinary Medicine, Mathias Müller and the chair of Functional Cancer Genomics, Richard Moriggl. The institute is structured in the unit of Biology of Reproduction (G Brem), the unit of Functional Cancer Genomics (R Moriggl) and the unit of Molecular Genetics (M Müller). The institute is responsible for the administration of interuniversity or interinstitutional facilities, namely Biomodels Austria, the Institute for Biotechnology in Animal Production at the Interuniversity Department Agriobiotechnology IFA Tulln and the Reproduction Center Wieselburg.
