COVID-19: Current measures for students, teachers and staff

The stricter measures imposed by the Austrian federal government and the second, tightened lockdown from 17 November to 6 December 2020 require certain changes to be made to the university operations of Vetmeduni Vienna. Please inform yourself regularly on the platforms that are of relevance for you.

UPDATE 16.11.2020:

  • Employees of Vetmeduni Vienna will be kept up to date on our VetEasy 2 intranet site or by e-mail.

    • The cafeteria will remain open for food pickups from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
       

  • Students will receive course and lecture information on Vetucation 3 and VetmedOnline 4 or by e-mail (student e-mail account).

    VetShop 5 will remain closed during the lockdown.


    The following facilities will remain open during the lockdown:

    • Student Services 6: consultation hours on Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
    • University Library 7: loan services (with advance orders) on Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; the reading rooms remain closed
    • VetSim 8 & “Knochenkammer”: following prior appointment via course registration
       

  • Animal Hospital: The animal hospital will continue to operate without restrictions during the lockdown. However, pet owners will not be permitted to access the outpatient and examination rooms during the examination of the animals.   • Hygiene measures: All COVID-19 measures for the campus and the field offices of Vetmeduni Vienna are summarised in an info sheet 10. 

 

We ask all persons on the campus and at the field offices of Vetmeduni Vienna to wear a close-fitting mask covering the mouth and nose and to keep a minimum distance of one metre to other persons. Face shields and plastic mouth coverings are not allowed.
