Beate Conrady (maiden Pinior) from the Department for Farm Animals and Veterinary Public Health, Unit Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology, has been awarded with three highly doped prizes for her works in Austria.

The Society of Friends of the Vetmeduni Vienna awarded her with the Armin Tschermak von Seysenegg Prize 2020. The Kardinal Innitzer Study Fund awarded her works with the Kardinal-Innitzer-Promotion Prize 2020 as well as the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover that also awarded her with the Konrad Bögel Prize 2021 for Veterinary Epidemiology and Veterinary Public Health.

Beate Conrady completed her diploma in 2010 and her doctorate in 2013 at the Institute for Animal Science, at the Agricultural Faculty in Bonn, where she is still active as a lecturer. During her doctoral thesis, she worked at the Institute for Epidemiology at the Friedrich Loeffler Institute. In 2013 she moved to the Vetmeduni Vienna. Since then, Conrady has been assessing animal health from an epidemiological and economic point of view. Her works are characterized by the fact that she provides decision-relevant information for health authorities regarding optimization of surveillance and control strategies of animal diseases.
