ERASMUS+ Mobility for Traineeships (students and recent graduents)

ERASMUS+ traineeships run from at least 2 months (61 days) to a maximum of 12 months. ERASMUS+ traineeships can be completed in all 28 EU member states, in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and the Republic of North Macedonia. ERASMUS+ traineeships can not only be realised at partner universities, but at private companies (e.g. renowned animal hospitals, stud farms or research institutions, as well).

Veterinary medicine: Especially the 10-week specialisation internship is well suited for an ERASMUS+ traineeship

Biomedicine & Biotechnology or Comparative Biomedicine, resp.: 3-months traineeship, also in connection with a Bachelor's or Master's thesis.

Equine sciences: 3-months traineeship (breeding, sport, marketing)


How to apply for an ERASMUS+ SMT scholarship?

Applications have to be done through Mobility Online.
There you will find all the necessary papers and documents.

Please apply at least 2 months before the start of the stay abroad in Mobility Online.

After returning from the study abroad period

Until further notice, the following documents must be submitted electronically by e-mail to international(at)

  • Learning Agreement AFTER the Mobility (in original)
  • ERASMUS+ Confirmation of Attendance (copy)
  • Written confirmation (not Praxisnachweis) in the form of a working certificate of the institution where the internship (practice) or clinical exercises have been completed (in original)
