A database has been developed in collaboration with the project RTD2Farm- Enhancing collaboration in research for livestock.
One of the main goals of this 7th framework project was the mapping of existing national and multinational projects and the encouragement of knowledge transfer to farmers. A database of public financed projects focusing on pig genetics, livestock production, breeding and health issues and an online lifelong learning tool with information about current major issues about pigs was developed. The interested reader can switch between three different kinds of information elaborateness levels: The information is available for beginners, inquisitive farmers and scientists.
