The AOC field office

Today, the former elementary school serves as AOC field office in Lower Austria and offers scientists jobs and accommodation in order to pursue exciting issues in the region. A lecture hall, a room for bird ringing and a small laboratory support knowledge transfer and research.  At the Seebarn field office, native bird species can be experienced directly, or if the weather is bad one can explore the typical feathered inhabitants of the Wagram in our exhibition.  Around the building, visitors can see different nesting aids that may be installed to support birds in gardens and around our homes. Whether you want to provide a home for blue tits, swallows or owls - at the Seebarn AOC field office you will find tips for optimal location, correct installation, bird feeding and how to avoid danger spots for birds.
