Short bio
Reinhold G. Erben is currently Full Professor of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. He received his veterinary and medical degrees from the University of Munich, Germany. He was President of the International Society of Bone Morphometry from 2006 until 2009 and served as a Board Member of the Austrian Science Fund from 2005 until 2014. He is the inventor of several patents, and has published over 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include the molecular endocrinology of mineral and bone homeostasis as well as cartilage and bone regeneration.
