CIRCULATION DESK

The Circulation desk is open during all business hours and our staff will help you to get a library card, check out books, etc.
To receive a library card you have to fill in a form and show us a piece of  identification, such as student's ID, passport, drivers license,....)

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

This service can be used if the texts you require are not available in any of the libraries in Vienna. Request forms and further information are available at the information desk or you can contact Mr. Anton Gallina at 250 77-14 09 or by fax 1491.

HISTORY AND COLLECTIONS

The library was founded in 1777 and is the oldest existing German-speaking veterinary medical library. 
On 31 December 2008, our collection of books consisted of 208.703 volumes. Out of 810 periodical journals in total, 469 are kept in the main library. The remaining literature is kept at the institutes and clinics of our university. 
Furthermore  we also offer online access to more than 24.253 scientific and academic full text journals.
