The veterinary hospitalinformation system(TIS) is used for the administration and complete medical documentation of the veterinary hospital's outpatient and inpatient patients.

It includes the entry of master data for patients and patient owners, the allocation of appointments, the documentation and billing of services rendered, the documentation of medical data in the electronic medical history and the support of various workflows, such as requests and transmission of findings to diagnostic imaging and various laboratories.

TIS is also used by most of the departments' diagnostic units for the documentation and billing of samples sent in externally.

The TIS has been in operation since April 1, 2001 and is based on the Orbis VetWare application from Agfa HealthCare. The system is form-based and the tasks of the TIS team of IT Services include the independent development and improvement of the forms and workflows provided in the TIS
