Confident, committed and innovative: Vetmeduni stands for responsible action in terms of the health of people, animals and the environment.

At the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, topics that are important for society are researched. Her focus is on animal health as well as preventive veterinary medicine, public health and food safety. The research interests include the creation of a scientific basis for the well-being of animals, issues of animal husbandry, animal welfare and animal ethics.

Vetmeduni employs around 1,550 people and is currently training around 2,450 students. The campus in Vienna Floridsdorf has five university clinics and the most modern research infrastructure. Two research institutes on Wilhelminenberg in Vienna, the VetFarm and the Wolf Science Center in Lower Austria are also part of it.
