Organizational Structure of the Vetmeduni Vienna
General guidelines for the organisational structure of Austrian universities are set out in detail in the Universities Act 2002.
The highest governing bodies of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna are defined in accordance with § 20 of the Universities Act 2002. They are the University Council, the Rectorate, the Rector and the Senate. The following organisation plan was developed together with the above-mentioned governing bodies of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna.
Departments and interdisciplinary institutions
The University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna is divided into departments that comprise several institutes or clinics, and into interdisciplinary institutions. The administrative and service units are governed by the rectorate.
The animal hospital is a special institution of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, comprising organisational units that provide veterinary services to animal patients.
