Size & weight: 11-15 cm, approx. 10 g

Appearance: Blue upperparts and crest, with white cheeks, forehead and eyebrows, yellowish breast, interrupted by a blue streak

Habitat: Inhabits various forests, parks and gardens.

Song: Finer, brighter sounding song ("tsi-tsi-tirr") than Great Tit

Nest & breeding: Nests in tree cavities, wall crevices and nesting boxes. The female lays 7-13 eggs once a year between April and May.

Food: Small insects (e.g. aphids), buds, seeds and berries
