Due to the increasing life expectancy of our dogs and cats, there has unfortunately also been a significant increase in cancer cases. 45% of all dogs over 10 years of age and 32% of cats develop cancer.

In human medicine, radiation therapy is the most important primary treatment method for cancer alongside surgery - it can now also be used at Vetmeduni and thus for the first time in Austria for our patients.
