Distribution of air pollutants

The overall goal of the project is to improve our current knowledge of air pollution in large agglomerations caused by mankind. The investigation of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and aerosol amounts base on spectral measurements from two instruments located at two different sites in Vienna. The instruments allow for measurements of the sunlight, which is scattered by traces gases and aerosols, at different viewing directions and thus can be used for quantifying the spatial distribution of air pollution.

Project title: "Measurements of the horizontal and vertical distribution of air pollutants in Vienna"
