The research group Pohl investigates mitochondrial membrane proteins using four major approaches, such as conductance measurements of planar bilayers reconstituted with purified recombinant proteins, fluorescence and radioactivity-based measurements of substrate transport, site-directed mutagenesis and molecular dynamics simulations.
