The Staff Position for Quality Management, Quality Development and Evaluation supports the Rectorate in the strategic development of the University’s quality management system. To fulfil the legal requirements, the University’s quality management system is guided by national and European quality standards and applies them in a way appropriate for the context, according to the development plan as well as the target and performance agreement.
Tasks of the quality management
The University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna has defined four core elements as the basis of its quality management system:
- Regular external evaluations, accreditations, audits and certifications (EAEVE, research evaluation, among others)
- Internal target and performance agreements combined with key performance indicators
- Process landscape of the University
- Evaluation cycle (evaluation of courses, competence check, graduates, doctoral students, among others)
