Doctoral program PLFDoc - Precision Livestock Farming

The doctoral program PLFDoc - Precision Livestock Farming (PLFDoc) is a cooperation project of the Vienna University of Technology, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (Campus Hagenberg) and the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.

This interdisciplinary training program offers doctoral students the opportunity to work as a team on more sustainable agriculture with improved animal husbandry. The research focus is on applied basic research, in particular on the application of methods of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) and image and video analysis (computer vision, CV) for monitoring livestock.
