I am a veterinarian by training, having graduated from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. Early in my career, I worked on tropical infectious diseases, contributing to rabies elimination programs and live bird market surveillance for avian influenza. During my undergraduate studies, I was actively involved in Southeast Asia One Health University Network, where I connected with professionals from diverse disciplines across the region. This experience shaped my understanding of the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and communication in addressing complex health challenges.
My interest in infectious diseases led me to pursue the Infectious Disease and One Health Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree, which broadened my global perspective on disease dynamics and prevention strategies. Through this program, I broaden my perspective into regional differences in disease priorities and the importance of context-specific interventions.
I am on my way to complete my PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and Complexity Science Hub Vienna under the supervision of Amélie Desvars-Larrive. My research focuses on analyzing swine movement data using network science approaches to better understand disease transmission dynamics and inform surveillance strategies.
Currently, my work focuses on Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV), integrating genomic surveillance with animal movement data to support disease control strategies.
