Numerous exercises take place in the Skills Lab as part of the veterinary medicine degree program curriculum – both centrally in VetSim and decentrally at locations such as the clinical centers for reproduction, horses, and other specialist areas.
They are a practical component of various courses from different subject areas – from small animal medicine to livestock medicine.

These exercises are carried out as part of various courses, such as:

General Propaedeutics, Special Propaedeutics, Clinical Outpatient Care, Clinical Demonstration, and Rotations I and II.

The following topics are covered in these exercises:

  • Jugular vein on the dummy
  • Cephalic vein on the “shaved” and “furry” paw dummy
  • Median coccygeal vein on the cattle tail dummy
  • Rebreathing system
  • Non-rebreathing system
  • Leak test
