The SFB brings together eight research groups from four institutions in and around Vienna:

• Gregor Mendel Institute
• ISTA
• University Vienna

Each of the four institutions has an outstanding track record on supporting evolutionary biology and population genetics.

Their commitment is further evident through active participation in collaborative teaching initiatives, with representatives from each institution making significant contributions to the Vienna Graduate School of Population Genetics and evolVienna .
