I am a veterinary virologist and currently hold a postdoctoral position while undertaking residency training in VPH at the Centre for Veterinary Public Health & One Health at Vetmeduni Vienna. My current research focus is on vector-borne diseases. After studying veterinary medicine in Vienna and completing two doctoral degrees in Virology (Dr. med. vet. and PhD) at the University of Zurich, I completed a veterinary specialization (FVH) in laboratory and basic medicine with a focus on virology. My previous research focused on the characterization of novel viruses, the development of diagnostic methods, and the use of translational models such as organoids.
