This year, Vetmeduni students once again had the opportunity to practice their surgical skills with support from Arthrex. In May, a temporary training center equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology was set up at the University Hospital for Small Animals. The surgical lab offered students in the veterinary medicine diploma program hands-on experience with minimally invasive surgical techniques, which are becoming increasingly important in small animal surgery.

Under the professional guidance of Small Animal Surgery residents and Arthrex specialists, aspiring veterinarians were able to practice osteosynthesis (internal fixation with screws) and arthroscopy on models in small groups.
