QS ranking: Vetmeduni once again strong in Veterinary Medicine

In the QS World University Rankings by Subject by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna (Vetmeduni) placed 27th in the subject “Veterinary Science.” This means Vetmeduni is once again among the top 50 this year.

More than 1,900 universities worldwide took part in the 2026 QS subject rankings. For the league table, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) annually collects assessments from academics and employers regarding academic reputation and the employability of graduates in the respective disciplines. In addition, citations from Elsevier’s Scopus database are analyzed and research partnerships with other universities are taken into account.

In the QS World University Rankings by Subject, Vetmeduni confirms its place among the international elite: in “Veterinary Science,” it ranks 27th, ex aequo with Ghent University (Belgium). The Royal Veterinary College of the University of London, England, continues to lead the ranking.
