The Inter-University Department of Agricultural Biotechnology at IFA Tulln is a joint institution of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, and the Vienna University of Technology, where staff from all three universities conduct joint research.

The Department of Biotechnology in Animal Production has set itself the task of advancing the breeding of healthy and fertile animals. The aim is to apply the findings of molecular and cell biology research directly through modern reproductive techniques.
