Curriculum Vitae

Alice Auersperg beendete ihr Studium der Zoologie an der Universität Edinburgh 2007. Sie promovierte im Januar 2011 an der Universität Wien über technische Kognition beim Neuseeland Kea.

Nach dem Doktoratstudium begann sie 2011 ihre erste Postdoc-Stelle am Department für Kognitionsbiologie der Universität Wien und gründete das Goffin Lab. Nebenher testete sie Problemlösung Strategien bei den vier großen Menschenaffen am Max Planck Institute für evolutionäre Anthropologie in Leipzig. 

Von 2013- 2015 arbeite sie innerhalb eines Erwin Schrödinger Forschungsstipendiums als Postdoc am Department für Zoologie der Universität Oxford an einem vergleichenden Projekt über Objektspiel und technische Kognition in verschiedenen Corviden und Papageienarten. 6 Monate Rückkehrphase verbrachte sie am Department für Kognitionsbiologie der Universität Wien.

Im April 2016 wechselte sie als Projektleiter zweier FWF Projekte über Innovationsfähigkeit und Werkzeugmanufaktur beim Goffini Kakadu als wissenschaftlicher Leiter des Goffin Labs 2 an das Messerli Institut.
