Elisabeth Suwandschieff, MSc MSc


Curriculum Vitae

Elisabeth Suwandschieff completed her Bachelor's degree in “Sociology and Cultural Studies” at the Vienna University and her MSc in „Culture and Society“ at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In April 2020 she finalised her MSc in „Human-Animal-Relations“ at the Messerli Research Institute of the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. Her masters thesis, with the title “Do I know you? Categorising individuals on the basis of familiarity in Kea (Nestor notabilis)“, was completed at the Department of Comparative Cognition.

Elisabeth has worked for several national and international universities and research institutes (Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna, Maastricht University, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis Laxenburg, University of Applied Arts Vienna) as a project, grant, controlling and management officer. She has extensive experience in the administrative conception, implementation and monitoring of national and international research projects.

Elisabeth began her PhD with the Messerli Research Institute at in October 2020 as part of the FWF funded project "Motor Imitation in Kea (Nestor notabilis) Parrots" 2. She is supervised by Dr. Raoul Schwing, Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr.rer.nat. Thomas Bugnyar and Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr.rer.nat. Ludwig Huber.
