Deadlines for the admissions procedure 2021/2022

See below for the important dates and times in connection with the 2021/2022 enrolment process.
Further information is available in the relevant
directive on the admissions procedure which can be found below.

  • Online application
    3 May 2021, 11:00 (CET), to 4 June 2021, 13:00 (CET)
  • Payment of fees (50€)
    3 May 2021 to 11 June 2021
    (Please note that, in accordance with the directive, the fees must be received no later than by 11 June 2021.)
  • For foundation courses: Uploading certificates for point allocation
    3 May 2021 to 9 July 2021 (on the portal for the online application)
  • Aptitude tests
    You will be automatically allocated a personal aptitude test appointment within the defined periods. Please note that, according to the Directive, it is not under any circumstances permitted to postpone this appointment.

    • Diploma/bachelor programme:
      in the period from 19 July 2021 to 23 July 2021
    • Master programmes:
      in the period from 12 July 2021 to 23 July 2021

Notarisation of foreign degree certificates

All necessary documents are to be presented in accordance with the defined requirements. More detailed information can be found under the following link 4.


Online Application Service

After successful online application at the online application service you can check up on the status of your application independently, i.a.:

  • status application fee
  • status uploaded documents

Important information:

  • You can login via your registered email adress.
  • Please note your application number.
  • After the application period you can upload documents within the set deadline.

Information about the aptitude tests

You will receive a personal invitation to your aptitude test with a QR code via email. Please ensure that you show this at your appointment. Please note the following information:

Aptitude test 2021/2022: Important Information 7

Please be on time. For reasons of security you are not allowed to participate if you show signs of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

A FFP2-mask as well as proof of a low epidemiological risk** are mandatory.

The aptitude test is to be taken in person by students who have successfully completed the online application process and paid the fees within the deadline. In accordance with the university regulations, the dates and times of appointments cannot under any circumstances be postponed

** A directive by the office of the Rector is published in the „Mitteilungsblatt“ 8 effective from 27 May 2021.

In accordance with the university regulations, the dates and times of appointments cannot under any circumstances be postponed.

The aptitude test Interdisciplinary Master's Programme in Human-Animal Interactions was cancelled! See § 7 (2), directive by the office of the rector of the Vetmeduni Vienna on the restrictions on admission to the IMHAI. All applicants, who are assigned for a university place, will receive an email within the next weeks, where the next steps for admission will be announced.
