Dr.rer.nat. Kirsten-André Senti



Kirsten Senti received this PhD for his work on retinal axon guidance in fruitflies at the Institute of Molecular Pathology, Austria. During his postdoctoral period, he continued using Drosophila as a model to study airway maturation at the University of Stockholm, Sweden, and the piRNA pathway and transposable element (TE) control at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology, Austria. He joined the Institute of Population Genetics in 2016. Next to his own research interests, Kirsten supports functional genetics at the Institute.
