This experiment station may be used for the cultivation of plants, e.g., for the botanical garden and for experiments that are to be conducted either outdoors or in containers within the controlled environment of the greenhouse.

Facilities are available for cleaning and processing of seeds on a small (laboratory) or semi‑industrial scale. At this time, the experimental programme includes sage, marjoram, oregano, chamomile, cannabis and cistus.

For the botanical garden the cultivation of young plants includes delphinium, poppy, angel trumpets, foxglove as well as annual aromatic herbs.

For the annual ‘garden day’, an event in our botanical garden including plant sale, a range of fragrant, aromatic and medicinal plants, aromatic herbs and specialties are propagated.
