Financal Services is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset accounting, as well as the dunning and collection system. Further duties of the department include internal service accounting, budget allocation and monitoring, cost and performance accounting and SAP administration (in the modules FI, AA, CO).

One of the main duties of the controlling department is to ensure liquidity of the university and to monitor financial risks. Furthermore, it represents the financial interface to spin-off enterprises of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna.
