Travelling by plane

Vienna Airport is ideally and centrally located. You can reach Vienna City Center quickly by City Airport Train (CAT), S-Bahn (suburban railway) or bus. There are also taxis & limousines and car rental offices at the airport.

Your route then of course depends on whether you first want to join our Welcome Reception and directly start with the conference or check-in at your hotel.

The most centrally located station on your way from airport to Vienna is Landstrasse/Wien Mitte (by CAT or suburban railway).

To get directly from airport to venue the most convenient connection is to use the Vienna Airport Lines regional bus Wien Donauzentrum to the terminal station and change to bus line 27A. Just get off at bus stop Veterinärmedizinische Universität, the entry of the Vetmeduni is located vis-à-vis.

Within Vienna

Once you arrived in Vienna, the easiest way of moving is to use public transport. The Vetmeduni is located in the 21st district, at the boundaries of the town to be honest, but fast and easy to reach.

Directions to Venue:

There are two important numbers you should keep in mind to reach the venue:
underground line U6, which serves the western part of Vienna from Westbahnhof in the south-west to Floridsdorf in the north-east, and
underground line U1 which goes from south to north serving the route Reumannplatz to Leopoldau.

A little bit more detailed:

Underground line U6 direction Floridsdorf to Station Floridsdorf, change to tram line 26 direction Oberdorfstrasse and get off at tram stop Donaufelder Strasse/Josef-Baumann-Gasse. Turn left into Josef-Baumann-Gasse, after about 150 meters you reach the entry of the Vetmeduni.

Underground line U1 direction Leopoldau to Station Kagran, change to autobus line 27A and get off at bus stop Veterinärmedizinische Universität. The entry of the Vetmeduni is located vis-à-vis.
Alternatively, using line U1 you may get off at station Kagraner Platz, change to tram line 26 direction Strebersdorf and get off at tram stop Donaufelder Strasse/Josef-Baumann-Gasse. Turn right into Josef-Baumann-Gasse, after about 150 meters you reach the entry of the Vetmeduni.
